Heartsaver AED

 

Heartsaver AED is a classroom course that teaches basic CPR and AED skills such as:
      • Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
      • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
      • Using a mask or barrier device

 

 

 

 Heartsaver First Aid 

 

 Heartsaver First Aid is a classroom course that is designed to meet OSHA regulations.The course teaches basic first aid skills such as:
      • Stopping bleeding that can be seen
      • Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
      • Making sure the scene is safe

 

 

 

Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid

 

 This course teaches basic first aid that is designed to meet OSHA regulations, CPR and AED skills such as:

       The Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course, tailored to middle and high school students, teaches CPR  and AED use, relief of choking inadults and children, andinfant CPR and relief of choking

 

 

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid

 

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course is designed to meet the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child care workers in all 50 states.  This course teaches basic first aid, CPR, and AED skills for children such as:
      • What to do when a child or infant has a breathing problem
      • Giving compressions and breaths to an infant or child
      • Stopping bleeding that can be seen

 

 

Friends and Family CPR

 

CPR in adults, children, or infants and how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking.

  The Family & Friends CPR program is for family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. This program is specifically designed for those who prefer to learn in a group environment with feedback from an instructor.

  This program also can be a non-credentialed option for teaching CPRto middle and high school aged students in school settings. This program can be used in a variety of creative ways to teach lifesaving CPR skills to communities

 

 

Friends and Family First Aid for Children

 

 

The Family and Friends First Aid for Children program teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This program covers such topics as preventing injuries, recognizing and treating basic first aid emergencies, and relief of choking in infants and children.

HeartCode ACLS Online

 

For healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, etc.)

Through interactive case-based micro-simulation technology, this course teaches:

  1. Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicated resuscitation outcomes

  2. Management of cardiac arrest until return of spontaneous circulation, termination of resuscitation, or transfer of care

  3. Recognition of life threatening clinical situations such as stroke

  4. Identification and treatment of ischemic chest pain and expedition of the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes

  5. Effective communication as a member or leader of a resuscitation team and how to recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance

  6. Basic life support care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating an AED

BLS for Healthcare Providers Online

 

Using eSimulation technology, HeartCode BLS Part 1 allows students to virtually "treat" adult and infant SCA patients within two simulated cases. Students then receive step-by-step feedback through debriefing that educates them on correct and incorrect actions taken. HeartCode BLS Part 1 also includes cognitive BLS lessons where students learn the BLS algorithm through interaction and mini-games. Hyperlinks to relevant material within the AHA’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual are available, and the full text may be accessed for up to 2 years from license activation.

This course is for healthcare providers seeking an initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card. Part 1 can be completed in approximately 1–2 hours; time to complete a practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) varies.

Healthcare Professional


BLS for Healthcare providers


        The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the  ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.



ACLS

 

        ACLS is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students will practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader. Realistic simulations reinforce the following key concepts: proficiency in basic life support care; recognizing and initiating early management of peri-arrest conditions; managing cardiac arrest; identifying and treating ischemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes; recognizing other life threatening clinical situations (such as stroke) and providing initial care; ACLS algorithms; and effective resuscitation team dynamics

 

 

PALS

 

         PALS course gives Healthcare Professionals the knowledge and skills to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children. The course uses a scenario-based,team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of pediatric patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.

 

 

ECG and Pharmacology

 

           The adult ECG & Pharmacology Course addresses a key knowledge gap in electrocardiogram (ECG) and pharmacology, and focuses on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge.
The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers, or is also intended for ACLS students who complete ACLS pre-course self-assessment and find they need to improve their knowledge.
